Elizabeth Jane “Betty” Maddox

Funeral services for Elizabeth Jane “Betty” Maddox will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Butler and Rev. Susan Whitley, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Jane “Betty” Maddox, age 82, of Skiatook, died at 12:22 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
Betty was born February 1, 1932 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Russell G. and Cora June (Hawkins) Jones. Betty grew up and received her education in Skiatook graduating from high school in 1950. Betty married John David Maddox on September 15, 1951 in Van Buren, Arkansas and they made their home in Skiatook. Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church, American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and she liked playing cards. Betty was a homemaker of the home.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband JD Maddox, two brothers and one sister.
Betty is survived by her three sons; John David Maddox Jr. and wife Maureen of Modesto, California, Roy Guest Maddox and Tracie Ward of Bixby and Edward Alan Maddox and wife Sonja of Bixby, six grandchildren; Jennifer Maddox, Russell Maddox, Michael Maddox, Auree Skye Maddox, Avery Ketchum and Adison Ketchum and a host of other relatives and friends.
Casket escorts for the services will be: John David Maddox Jr., Roy Guest Maddox, Edward Alan Maddox, Jerry Hensley, Don Leach and Dick Cagle.
Music for the services will be:
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
