Eleanorr Joyce (Walters) Nielsen

Eleanorr Joyce Nielsen, age 85 of Bartlesville went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in Bartlesville.

Ellie was born December 2, 1935 in Osceola, Iowa to William Scott and Bernice May (Orr) Walters. Ellie grew up and received her education in Mount Pleasant Iowa Highschool where she graduated in 1954. She also attended college at the University of Dubuque, Iowa where she received a double bachelor’s degree in English and Christian Education in 1958. Ellie married Dale Frank Nielsen on August 10, 1958 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa making their home in Elkader, Iowa where she taught high school English for 4 years. On June 15, 1962 Dale and Ellie moved to Skiatook where she was a English teacher, teachers helper and a librarian at the Junior High School. Ellie loved to read, cook and loved being a homemaker.

Ellie was preceded in death by her mother and father, one daughter-in-law; Becky Mosal Nielsen.

Ellie is survived by her husband Dale Nielsen, three sons; Eric Nielsen, Hans Nielsen and John Nielsen, two brothers; Richard Walters and Ronald Walters, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be; “How Great Thou Art”, “As The Deer Panteth For The Water” and “Amazing Grace”.

Pallbearers for the service will be; Eric Nielsen, Hans Nielsen, John Nielsen, Timothy Nielsen, Matthew Klein and Chester Reyckert.

The family of Eleanorr Nielsen entrusted the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home with her care and services.
