Funeral services for Ernest Lee Johnson will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the First Baptist Church with Bill Zodrow, officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Ernest Lee Johnson, age 99, of Skiatook, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Homestead in Owasso.

Lee was born February 8, 1916 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Ernest Lee Sr. and Ollie (Javine) Johnson. Lee grew up and received his education in Skiatook graduating from high school in 1933. Lee married Kathleen Lucille Tooley on October 1st 1939 in Skiatook. Lee and Kathleen moved to California in 1939. Lee entered into the United States Navy on April 5, 1944 and received his honorable discharge in 1946. Lee was employed with Compton college for over thirty years where he was and carpenter and worked in the maintenance department where he worked on everything. In 1977 Lee and Kathleen moved back to Skiatook where they have made their home until two years ago when they moved to Owasso in assisted living at Homestead. Lee liked to paint, work crossword puzzles, was an avid reader and shared Christ with everybody and was a missionary at heart. Lee was saved on May 12, 1951 and lived true to our Lord and savior.

Lee was preceded in death by his mother and father, two brothers, one sister and by a granddaughter.

Lee is survived by his two sons: Roger Johnson and wife Cecilia “Sally” of Fullerton, CA and Jon “Mike Johnson and wife Sheryl of Edmonds, Washington, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged Cross” performed by Scott Neighbors. “When We All get To Heaven” performed by the Congregation.

Casket escorts will be: Scott Johnson, Peter Jon Johnson, Travis Anderson, Jon Johnson, Nick Nutthal and Raquel Johnson.
Family request memorial donations to the First Baptist Church in Skiatook in the memory of Ernest lee Johnson.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
