Dr. Fred William Sims Jr.

Fred Sims Jr, age 79, of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, October 2, 2022 in Tulsa.

Fred was born November 9, 1942 in San Bernadino, California to Dr. Fred William Sims Sr. and Helen Lillian (Abbe) Sims. He grew up and received his education in Tulsa and graduated from Edison High School. After high school he attended college at Washington University for dental school. He worked as a dentist for over 37 years. Fred was a member of the Skiatook Rotary, Skiatook Chamber of Commerce and The Skiatook First Presbyterian Church and he enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, going to the casino, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Oklahoma Sooners football.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Helen.

Fred is survived by his ex-wife: Carol C. Sims, children: Fred Sims and wife Johnna, Dr. Geoffrey Sims and wife Stephanie, David Sims and wife Heather and Eric Sims, grandchildren: Kaci Sims, Zack Sims, Logan Sims, Avery Sims, McKinley Thaggard, Trenton Sims, Triston Sims, Abby Sims, and Catherine Sims, sister: Sandra Reeve, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Dr. Fred Sims Jr. entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Skiatook or Skiatook Rotary.
