Funeral services for Dorthy Meledeo will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Benjamin Vima, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Dorthy Meledeo, age 89, of Skiatook, died at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at The Highlands in Owasso.
Dorthy was born July 12, 1924 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Hugh and Margaret (Cummley) Clark. She was raised in Tulsa and received her education at Will Rogers High School graduating in 1941. She and Authur Meledeo were married in 1945 in De Riddle, Louisiana where he was stationed with the United States Army. To this union five children were born:Sandra Adock and husband Frank, Barbara Johnson and husband Harvey, Theresa Newman and husband Ricky Michael Meledeo and wife Suzy and Patrick Meledeo, 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one great – great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Dorthy worked for several years at Munsing Wear in Hominy and later worked at Wal-Mart for twenty years. Her hobbies were gardening and sewing.
Dorthy was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Arthur and by one sister.
Casket escorts for the services are the grandsons and honorary casket escorts are the great grandsons.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
