Funeral services for Dorothy Thompson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Skiatook with Rev. Kelly Chronister and Bill Zodrow officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Dorothy Thompson, age 91, of Skiatook, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her residence in Skiatook.

Dorothy was born August 27, 1927 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Joseph Ira and Della (Elliott) Vaughn. She grew up and received her education in Skiatook, OK graduating in 1945. Dorothy married Audy Thompson June 17, 1949 making their home in Skiatook until moving to Texas in 1969. Before moving to Texas Dorothy was employed with Exchange Bank where she retired after 22 years and at her

retirement she was Assistant Vice President at Exchange Bank. Upon Audy’s retirement in 1984 they returned to Skiatook. Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, fishing, needle point, crochet, and she loved to make Christmas decorations.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father and mother: Joseph and Della, husband: Audy, brothers: Leo Vaughn, Alfred “Cokie” Vaughn, sisters: Cornelia “Nellie” Mangold, Aurelia “Ebbie” Murrell, and Betty Franklin.

Dorothy is survived by her Brother-in-laws: Bradley Thompson, and Marion Murrell and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “How Great Thou Art”. “Amazing Grace” and “In The Garden”.

Pallbearers for the services will be: Bill Mangold, Eddie Mangold, Logan Yarbrough, Dylan Thompson, Jeffry Gray, Cale Thompson, and Brady Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Jim Mangold, Gary Yarbrough, Tony Thompson, Terry Thompson, Terrance Thompson, Ryan Thompson, and Josey Branch.

The family of Dorothy Thompson has entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
