Funeral services for Dorothy Ethel “Dot” Maguire will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the Sien-Shelton funeral Home Chapel with , officiating. Private family interment will be held in Ohio under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Dorothy Ethel “Dot” Maguire, age 90, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa.

Dot was born April 4, 1926 in Dunglen, Ohio to Louis and Helen (Ronyecz) Vadasz. Dot grew up and received her education in Ohio graduating from Tiltonsville High School in 1945. Dot married Lewis S. Maguire on May 1, 1948. Dot was a homemaker of the home. Dot enjoyed baking, flower gardening and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Dot was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Martins Ferry, Ohio as well as with the Lady’s Auxiliary and was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department.

Dot was preceded in death by her mother and father, four brothers: John, Steve, Louis and Paul, one daughter: Bonnie and by one grandson: Larry Gill.

Dot is survived by her daughter: Christine Gill, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Don’t Cry For Me”, “Amazing Grace”, “A Mothers Love”, “Take My Hand Precious Lord” and “Nearer My God To Thee”.

The family of Dot Maguire entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
