Dorothy Elaine Gardner

Dorothy Elaine Gardner, age 72, joined Our Heavenly Father on Wed Jan 16, 2019 in Tulsa Ok

She was preceded in death by her father Benny Ervin and Audra Enloe Ervin

She is survived by her loving husband Virgil Gardner

Three Sons: Grant and his wife Stephanie, Gary and his wife Terri, Mike and his wife Melissa

Seven Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren

A nephew Jeff Ervin

And a Niece who is like a daughter, Lois Collins and her family James, Emily and Holly

She is also survived by two brothers; Jack Ervin of Sperry and Larry Ervin of Sevry KS

Elaine was born April 27, 1946 to Benny and Audra Ervin of Avant Ok.

She grew up in Avant and graduated High School in 1964.

Upon graduation, she married Virgil Gardner, also of Avant Ok,.  Elaine and Virgil celebrated  over 54 years

of marriage- modeling a loving example to their three children

Elaine provided a beautiful home for her family while also working at Palace office supply in Tulsa as well as Benson Lumber in Skiatook

She and Virgil became co owners, along with Larry and Jeanine Moore, of G&M Bldg Center in 1984.

Many years of memories with customers- who became friends- ensued as she worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement

She offered many young ladies the opportunity to learn valuable work skills under her patient tutelage.

Elaine enjoyed life and her Family WAS her life!

Watching her boys play ball ( of ANY kind!) was a passionate hobby. And as with every other aspect of her life...many valuable and lifelong friendships were built during those sports seasons

She found great pleasure in sharing her love of cooking and serving with all her girls. Christmas was THE highlight of every year for her!

If you have ever spent more than ten minutes with Elaine you will know how valuable her family is to her by the amount of photos you will have viewed on her ipad with her!

Her Strong Faith, humor, infectious ever present smile and her tenacious nature created a legacy in her family that will endure for generations
