Funeral services for Donald LeRoy Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Barnsdall with Pastor Barry Gott officiating. Interment will follow in the Ethel Reece Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Donald LeRoy Smith, age 80, of Barnsdall, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at his Barnsdall residence.

Don was born February 25, 1938 in Avant, Oklahoma to Vearl Walter and Mary Pauline (Pool) Smith. Don grew up and received his education in Avant where he graduated in 1957. Don married Patricia “Pat” Wilson on July 24, 1979. Don entered into the United States Army on August 18, 1960 and received his honorable discharge on August 17, 1962. Don was employed with the Boilermakers Union Local 592. Don liked to fish and riding his motorcycle. Don was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Bartlesville.

Don was preceded in death by his parents: Vearl and Pauline Smith and by his wife: Pat.

Don is survived by his brothers: Preston Smith and Clyde Smith, stepchildren: Ronnie Wilson and Cathy Davis, grandchildren: Justin Davis, Alannah Davis, Mindy Wilson, Mandy Wilson, Heath Campbell, Micah Campbell and Melisa Tenbrick, four great grandchildren, dear friend: Sandy Eden, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Amazing Grace”, “Where Eagles Fly”, “When I Get To Where I’m Going” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”

Pallbearers will be: Tim Prather, Dwight Starks, Ronnie Wilson, Tim Henson, Justin Javine and Randy Gosney. Honorary pallbearers are: Jim Smith, Gayle Prather and Pete Selby.

The family of Don Smith entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
