Funeral services for Darleen Porter will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Skiatook Christian Church with Pastor Trey Harper and Rev. Dale Nielsen officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Darleen Porter, age 90, of Skiatook, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at her residence.

Darleen was born November 8, 1927 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Leo James and Thelma Darleen (Lycette) Gray. Darleen grew up and received her education in Illinois graduating from high school in 1945. Darleen also received her L.P.N. schooling in Tulsa. Darleen was married to Jim Porter for 45 years when he preceded her in death in 1993. Darleen worked in the medical field working for medical doctors and dentist. Darleen loved to read, play games with family and friends, travel and was a Charter Member of the Skiatook Christian Church.

Darleen was preceded in death by her mother and father, two brothers and by one sister.

Darleen is survived by her daughter: Virginia Bayles, one brother: Marvin Gray, nieces and nephews: Lee Houston, Kim McManus, Sherri Karasek, Teri Dray, Karen Franco, Kevin Gray, David Gray, Greg Gray and John Gray and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Darleen Porter entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
