Daniel Martin “Danny” Norwood

Funeral services for Daniel Norwood will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Nielsen, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Danny was born April 21, 1949 to Martin Pat and Rozella Mae (Cottham) Norwood Jr.  Danny grew up and received his education in Tulsa graduating with the class of 1967. Danny married Karol Sauer on September 1, 1981 in Tulsa making their home in Skiatook. Danny was employed with the Town of Skiatook on September 1, 1984 until May 8, 2000 where he worked in the Sanitation Department. In 2000 Danny was employed with Tulsa County where he was a truck driver and retired in 2006. Danny liked working, mowing yards, riding around on his tractor, and worked in the pit crew at Tulsa Stock Car Races.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father.

Daniel is survived by his wife: Karol, mother: Rozella, children: Rachel Norwood and Karrie Paul. 1 sister: Barbara Young, 2 brothers: Bill Norwood and Charles Norwood, 4 grandchildren several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “When I Get to Where I’m Going”, “I Can Only Imagine” and “Amazing Grace.”

The family of Daniel Norwood entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
