C.R. Barnes

C.R. Barnes, age 82 of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, July 21, 2023 at 2:40 p.m. at the St. John Medical center in Tulsa.

C.R. was born September 23, 1940 in Short, Oklahoma to Raymond Barnes and Eula Richardson- Partain. C.R. grew up and received his education in Muldrow, Oklahoma where he graduated high school in 1958. C.R. entered into the United States Army on November 14, 1967 and received his honorable discharge on September 26, 1972 after serving in Vietnam. C.R. married Diane Pauline Baker on May 28, 1977 in Reno, Nevada making their home in Fremont, California until moving to Skiatook in 1980 where they continued to make their home. C.R. was employed with John Zink Company where he worked in fabrication where he did steel layouts. He had been employed as a truck driver and had also made printing ink. C.R. enjoyed bowling, spontaneous travel, observing nature and going to family sporting events. He mostly loved time with his family, friends and breakfast with his buddies.

C.R. was preceded in death by his parents; Raymond Barnes and Eula Richardson-Partain, two brothers; JW Partain and Bob Partain, sister; Bernice Waffle and his nephew; Steven Baker JR.

C.R. is survived by his wife of 46 years; Diane, children; Doreen McAfee, Craig Barnes and Roger Barnes, brother; Claude Barnes, sister; Ruby Powell, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, great nephews Haidon & Ryker Baker along with several other nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of C.R. Barnes entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
