Cledith Barnes

Funeral services for Cledith Barnes will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mitchell Leonard, officiating. Interment will follow in the Floral Haven Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home. 5th District Rifle Squad of Skiatook will do full military honors.

Cledith Barnes, age 87, of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, August 27, 2023 in Tulsa.

Cledith was born February 11, 1936 in Dawson, Oklahoma to Otis and Virgie D. (McDonald) Barnes. Cledith grew up and received his education in Sapulpa. Cledith entered into the United States Navy on March 9, 1955 and received his honorable discharge on March 7, 1962. Cledith married the love of his life Patsy Jane Henderson on July 12, 1957 in Turley making their home in Tulsa until moving to Skiatook where they have made their home for the past 53 years. Cledith worked in the grocery business for 33 years and owned and operated Barnes Furniture Store for 20 years with his wife Patsy. Cledith loved skating, fishing, going to garage sales and traveling the United States.

Cledith was preceded in death by his parents; Otis and Virgie Barnes, four sisters and three brothers.

Cledith is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Patsy, three son’s; Richard Barnes and wife Delores, Roger Barnes and wife Kelly and Cledith Alan Barnes and wife Amy, six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the service are; Richard Barnes, Roger Barnes, Cledith Alan Barnes, Joseph Barnes, Eli Leonard and Jerrod Holman. Honorary pallbearers are; Lane Barnes, Joseph Barnes, Jacob Holman, Rylee Barnes, Dalton Grisham, Dayton Grisham, Reece Beck Jr., Jacob Chupp and Matt McDonald.

Music selections for the service are; “Church Of The Wildwood”, “I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You” and “Victory In Jesus”.

The family of Cledith Barnes entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
