Clare Gloria (Juby) Whiteley

Funeral services for Clare Gloria Whiteley will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Sperry with Speaker Hugh Hardie, Mike Anderson, presiding with Tim Whiteley and Jolynn Eaton reading the obituary. Interment will follow in the Rest haven Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Clare Gloria Whiteley, age 84, of Sperry, died at 12:21 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends.
Clare was born December 5, 1930 in Sperry, Oklahoma to Leo Avery and Edith Thelma (Tucker) Juby. She grew up and received her education in Sperry graduating high school in 1949. Clare went to the St. JohnSchool of Nursing where she was in the last graduating class. Clare married Robert Harold Whiteley on December 15, 1951 in Sperry where they made their home. Clare was employed with St. John Medical Center in Tulsa from 1976 and retired in 1995. In 1995 she was employed with Tulsa Bone and Joint until 2000. In 2000 she went to work for Tulsa area Vo-Tech where she taught the Certified Nursing Assistants Program until retiring in 2010. Clare was a founding member of the Kihekah Steh Indian Club and maintained her nursing licenses. Clare enjoyed cooking, going to sporting events with her grandchildren, working in the yard and taking care of people when they were sick.
Clare was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, six brothers and four sisters.
Clare is survived by her four children; Karen Crank and husband James, JoLynn Eaton, Robert Whiteley and Timothy Whiteley and wife Kelley, one sister; Juanita Donaldson, one brother; Phillip Juby, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be; “Families Can Be Together Forever” performed by the congregation, “In The Garden” performed by Elbert Rogers and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”
Casket escorts will be; Brian Eaton, Tyler Eaton, Joe Whiteley, Buel Anglen, Doug Juby, and Steven Juby. Honorary casket escorts will be; Erin Crank, Megan Crank and Adam Eaton.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
