Karl Gary “Chuck” Jones
Chuck Gary Jones, age 81, of Collinsville, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the St. John Medical center in Tulsa.
Chuck was born August 4, 1936 in Manhattan, New York to Lewis F. and Susan (Whitaker) Jones. Chuck grew up in New York State and in 1977 moved to Collinsville. Chuck also attended Rhema Bible College where he became an Ordained Minister. Chuck was also a Barber where he owned and operated a Barber Shop in Collinsville and other communities. Chuck enlisted into the United States Navy in 1952 and received his honorable discharge in 1954, enlisted into the National Guard in 1957 and received his honorable discharge in 1966. Chuck married Virginia Adele Tallman on January 15, 1955 making their home in Collinsville most their married life. Chuck liked oil painting, play golf, bowling and shoot archery.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother and father, two sisters, one son and by one grandchild.
Chuck is survived by his wife Virginia, children: Gary Jones, Randy Jones, Mark Jones and Karla Stephens, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
The family Chuck Jones entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
