Memorial services for Charlene Lillian Welborn will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Butler officiating.

Charlene Welborn, age 93, of Skiatook, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Skiatook.

Charlene was born January 6, 1927 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Charles Martin and Alice (Warren) Portis. She grew up and received her education in Omaha, Nebraska, Des Moines, Iowa, and later moved to Weldon Spring, Missouri. She graduated from St. Charles High School in St. Charles, Missouri in 1945. She married Don Welborn in 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in San Jose, California moved to Poteau, Oklahoma in 1978, and moved to Skiatook, Oklahoma in 2007 where she made her home since that time. Charlene was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband: Don, mother and father: Alice and Charles, brother: Robert Portis, and daughter Lesile Perry.

Charlene is survived by her children: William Litzinger and Alfred Sousa and wife Penny three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, one nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the service will be: “Amazing Grace”, “How Great Thou Art” and Eastern Star music.

The family of Charlene L. Welborn entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
