Cassie Dawn (Nelson) Nelson-Easky

Cassie Dawn Nelson Easky passed from this world into heaven on March 15, 2018 at the Maplewood Care Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Cassie was born December 16, 1977 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a young child, she lived in Blanchard, Oklahoma with her parents Jimmy and Sandy Nelson where she began her education. She moved to Collinsville, Oklahoma with her father in 1985. In 1986, they moved to Skiatook where she continued her education and resided the rest of her life.

Cassie and Mark Easky became parents with the birth of Shelby Dawn Easky in 2006.

Cassie was a great athlete and competed in soccer, basketball, softball and track.  She enjoyed spending time at the lake fishing, boating and swimming.  Cassie also loved music.

Cassie attended Skiatook United Methodist Church as a child and was active in the youth group as a teenager. She was baptized at the Maplewood Care Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 27, 2018.

Cassie was preceded in death by her birth mother Judy Miller, grandfather Otis Guilfoyle and grandparents Warren and Jean Rush.

Cassie is survived by Mark and daughter Shelby Easky of Skiatook, father Jimmy Nelson of Skiatook, Sandy and Dakota Nelson of Texas and sister Tara Mizell of Skiatook. Cassie is also survived by her grandparents Glenn and Mary Nelson of Skiatook and grandmother Rosanna Guilfoyle, as well as, numerous family members and friends.

The memorial service for Cassie will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Skiatook First United Methodist Church with pastors Susan Whitley and Trey Harper officiating. Music for the service will be Amazing Grace sung by Taylor Conley, Go Rest High on that Mountain, and See You Again. Family and friends are welcome.
