Funeral services for Carroll A. Snead will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Henson, officiating. Interment will follow in the Ethel Reece cemetery in Barnsdall under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Carroll A. Snead, age 81, of Avant, died at 2:02 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Journey Home in Bartlesville.
Carroll was born June 14, 1934 in Joplin, Missouri to Carroll Ashley Sr. and Margaret Ann (McGath) Snead. Carroll married Billie Jo Murrie on July 3, 1956 in Bartlesville and they made their home in Avant since that time. Carroll entered into the United States Army in 1958 and received his honorable discharge in 1960. Carroll was employed with KWB where he was a oilfield worker and retired in 1999. Carroll liked gardening, bird hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Carroll was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Carroll is survived by his wife: Billie of the home, three children: Joe Snead, Johnny Snead and Jeffery Snead and wife Judy, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be: “When I Get To Where I’m Going” and “Grandpa”.

Casket escorts for the services will be: Austin Gann, Gene Bowline, Galen Bowline, Rusty Gott, Robert Osborn and Paul Wickham.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
