Carrol Jane Nicinski
Funeral services for Carrol Jane Nicinski will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lynda Ward and Rev. Dale Nielsen, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Carrol Jane Nicinski, age 69, of Skiatook, died at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at her Skiatook residence.
Carrol was born January 15, 1947 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Wilbur and Betty Jane (Theiling) Aylesworth.
Carrol grew up and received her education in Bemidji, MN and graduated in 1965. Carrol married James Meszaros in 1967 and made their home in Skiatook. Carrol later married Leo Nicinski on May 24, 1980 in Tulsa and they continued to make their home in Skiatook. Carrol was a trucking dispatcher for Akins Southwest Distributors for 18 years. Carrol had also been employed with Florafax where she was a floor supervisor for several years and the Skiatook Emergency Assistance Center where she was director of the food bank and emergency assistance with utilities for 6 years.
Carrol liked bowling, dancing, crafts and playing bunco. She also loved to travel and took as many trips as she could back to Minnesota to visit family and friends. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and was involved in the Rotary Club where she was previously honored with the Paul Harris Fellowship award for her contributions. Carrol considered most everyone she met as a friend, and loved to socialize at the Brown Cow Café and at the community Singspiration events.
Carrol was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Leo and by her sister Jody.
Carrol is survived by her three daughters Stephanie Lane and husband Bryan, Jamie Cheek and husband Harvey and Niki Collins and Michael Breckenridge, one sister: Linda Warneka, one brother: Russell Aylesworth, special friend: Don Gardner, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Casket escorts for the services will be: Kurrey Harmon, Matthew Main, Bryan Lane, Darrell Stone, Ian Collins and JT Hough. Honorary casket escorts will be: Harvey Cheek and Russell Aylesworth.
Music for the services will be: “Tears In heaven”, “I’ll Fly Away” and “In The Garden”
The family has asked in lieu of flowers that food or cash donations be made to SEAC at 319 E. Rogers Blvd.
