Carol Sue (Buzzard) Tulsa

Funeral services for Carol Sue Tulsa will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dick Knox, officiating. Interment followed in the Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Carol Sue Tulsa, age 73, of Tulsa, died at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Tulsa.

Carol was born March 8, 1940 in Oaks, Oklahoma to William Jackson “Bill” Buzzard Sr. and Katie (Alec) Buzzard. She grew up and received her education in Oaks. She married George Lee Tulsa on October 13, 1958 and they made their home in Tulsa most of their married life. Carol was a custodian at Tulsa Junior college for over 20 years. Carol liked to sew, watch wrestling, baseball, basketball and was just a sports fanatic. Carol was of the Lutheran Faith.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, son George Lee “Brother” Tulsa Jr. and by one sister.

Carol is survived by her four children; Johnnie Tulsa of Mounds, Carol Jo Tulsa-Lowe of Tulsa, Augustine Tulsa-Castillo of Sand Springs and Jackie Tulsa of Ochelata, one sister; Edna Jones of West Siloam Springs, OK, one brother; Sonny Buzzard of Tulsa, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Casket escorts for the services are; Daniel Tulsa, Tylee Tulsa, Larry Thompson Jr., Doug Wynn Jr., Desmond Tulsa and Donavon Tulsa. Honorary casket escorts are; Eric Cotner and Jeffery Cotner.

Music for the services: “Amazing Grace”, “I’ll Fly Away”, “Will The Circle Be Unbroken” and “Smile”.
