Carl “Pete” Harrison Hayes

Carl “Pete Harrison Hayes, age 87, of Coweta, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at his residence.

Pete was born January 12, 1935 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Charlie Jacob and Della (Hill) Hayes. He grew up and received his education in Missouri. On August 15, 1980 Pete married Norma Lou Ward in Butler County, Missouri. He worked in construction as a heavy machinery operator. Pete enjoyed fishing, tinkering with small engines, and loved the outdoors.

Pete was preceded in death by his wife: Norma, parents: Charlie and Della, brother: Frank Hayes, sisters: Bea Schultz, Junie Marler, and sons: Donald Stevens Jr. and Dennis Stevens.

Pete is survived by his children: Carla Young, Mike Hayes, Lisa Martin, Joe Stevens, Teresa Stack, Jennifer Woolman, twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Carl “Pete” Harrison Hayes entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
