Green H. “Butch” Barber, age 78, of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, April 14, 2023 in Skiatook.
Butch was born August 22, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Amos and Earleen (Allen) Barber. Butch grew up and received his education in Skiatook where he graduated in 1962. Butch married Patricia Darlene Whitlatch on January 18, 1963 in Skiatook where they have made their home since that time. Butch was self-employed where he was a Carpenter and Builder. Butch also managed Cattle ranches. Butch loved working with cattle, sitting around campfire and going to the cattle sales. Butch was of the Baptist Faith.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; Amos and Earleen Barber, one infant brother and by one infant sister.
Butch is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Darlene Barber, one daughter; Delana Brooks and by two grandchildren; Crystal (Barnes) Beck and Leslie Barnes and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers for the service are; Rick Akin, Justin Akin, J.L. Holt, Gaylen Bowline, Jimbo Bradshaw and Phil Pattillo.
Music for the service will be; “I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You”, “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “Cowboy Rides Away.
The family of Butch Barber entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
