Buel H. Neece, 85, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013, at his home in Sperry, Oklahoma.
Born in Turley, OK on November 20, 1927 to parents Irl F. and Gertrude Neece, he attended Cherokee School and Central High School, joined the Navy at the age of 17 and was honorably discharged after serving in World War II.
He married Peggy Shahan on April 2, 1962, and the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2012. He worked as a landman for Texaco for 27 years, and was the owner of an oil and gas lease brokerage company which he started in 1973.
He is survived by his wife Peggy of the home, Marie Grasielita and husband Manuel of Sperry, Kathy McIntyre and husband Jim of Skiatook; Kevin Neece of Sperry, Julie Selvidge and husband Brett of Tulsa; Lori Rhodes and husband Kevin of Sperry, Brent Neece and wife Chris of Sperry; and Tim Neece and wife Lisa of Sperry. They have 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held February 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Skiatook.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
