Bonnie Ruth Barnes

Bonnie Ruth Barnes age 68, of Sand Springs, died at 8:00 p.m. Monday at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Bonnie was born May 18, 1946 in Nashville, TN to William Herbert and Dorothy (Overstreet) Toombs. She grew up and received her education in Nashville. Bonnie married Elmer Barnes on September 18, 2006 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas making their home in Sand Springs since that time. Bonnie was employed with a convince store where she was a cashier and while living in Skiatook Bonnie had worked for Super H Foods. Bonnie was of the Baptist Faith.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother and father, one brother and by one great grandson.

Bonnie is survived by her husband; Elmer of the home, three children; Lisa Holt of Nashville, Donna Britton of Nashville and Rick Upton of Missouri, one sister; Brenda Myers of Nashville, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing and visitation and cremation services are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
