Bobby Jack Bugg, known affectionately to all as Jack, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, at his residence surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 3, 1931, in Cushing, Oklahoma, Jack was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. His vibrant spirit and enduring kindness will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jack’s life was one of devotion and joy, beginning with his parents, William Hiram and Lella Marie (Gaddis) Bugg, who instilled in him the values of family and hard work. A proud graduate of Wild Horse School in 1948, Jack’s strong work ethic was evident from an early age. He built a career with Flint Steel as a shipping clerk before moving into sales with Harley Industries, where his charismatic personality and dedication made him a respected figure in the industry. Married to his beloved wife, Juanita "Jo" Bugg, on October 13, 1948 for an impressive 76 years, Jack was a true example of lifelong partnership and love. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their children Terri Burwell and her husband James, Vicki Gibson and her husband Bill, Brenda Harper and her husband Rick, and Bruce Bugg. Jack was a proud patriarch, cherishing each moment with his eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, whose achievements and milestones brought him immeasurable joy. Jack was a man of many interests, finding pleasure in the simple things in life. He was an avid golfer, a keen bowler, and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. However, nothing compared to the delight he felt watching his grandchildren's sporting events and spending quality time with them. His presence on the sidelines was a source of encouragement and pride.
Throughout his life, Jack was blessed with a large and loving family. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Larkin, daughter-in-law, Nanette Bugg and leaves behind a legacy through his numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss his warm smile and generous heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bill Bugg, and his son Jack David Bugg.
Jack's life was a testament to the power of positivity and the importance of family. He approached every day with a sense of purpose and a desire to make the most of every moment. His laughter was infectious, his stories captivating, and his advice invaluable. As we bid farewell to Jack, we take comfort in the memories we shared and the love he spread. He taught us to cherish our time together, to laugh often, and to support each other through life's challenges. Jack's legacy is one of joy, resilience, and the enduring bonds of family. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Jack Bugg will be profoundly missed but never forgotten, as his spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those he touched. We celebrate his life, knowing that he has left this world better than he found it, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
