Funeral services for Billy Joe Utter will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Assembly of God Church in Oologah with Pastor Kent Jensen officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Billy Utter, age 52, of Tulsa, passed away at 3:34 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 in Tulsa.

Billy was born June 4, 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to George and Carolyn (Oross) Utter. He grew up and received his education in Owasso, OK graduating in 1985. Billy enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1989 and served until 1993 when he was honorably discharged as a corporal. After he served in the military he worked for various welding shops.

Billy was preceded in death by his father George.

Billy is survived by his daughter: Cassidee Copeland, mother: Carolyn Hancock, sisters: Cari Fideline and Sallie Newton, brother: George Utter, grandchildren: Jayden Copeland, and Jaycee Copeland, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Cowboy Rides Away”, “Lead Me Home”, “The Dance” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”.

Pallbearers for the services will be: George Utter, Mike Newton, Jay Shaw, David Shaw, Josh Copeland, Leroy Hancock and Jayden Copeland.

Billy’s family has entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
