Funeral services for Beverly JoElla Gourd will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Cate, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Beverly JoElla Gourd, age 72, of Skiatook, died at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
JoElla was born December 22, 1940 in Seminole, Oklahoma to J.C. and Loyce (Johnson) Roberts. JoElla grew up and received her education in Tulsa, graduating from Tulsa Central in 1958. JoElla married Henry William Gourd on August 30, 1958.
JoElla was preceded in death by her father J.C. Roberts, husband Henry Gourd, son; Anthony, brother; Jimmie Dale Roberts and her nephew Jason Dale Roberts.
JoElla is survived by her three children; David Lynn and wife Sandy Gourd of Skiatook, Judy Gourd Taylor of Skiatook and Pat and Dina Gourd of Skiatook, son-in-law Bill Taylor, her mother Loyce Roberts of Collinsville, sisters; Phyllis and husband John Mattison of Manford and Sheryl and husband Kenny Jones of Sperry, grandchildren; Justin, Cody, Jesse, Matt, Brittney, Cheyney, Tayber, Blake and Knight, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends and a special niece Janna Jones.
Music for the services will be; “Never Grow Old”, “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow” and “In The Garden”.
Casket escorts will be; Scott Mattison, Greg Mattison, Kevin Mattison, Blake Bleything, Adam Hopkins, Matt Gourd, Jesse Gourd and Knight Johnson.
