Betty Ann Gaffney

Private family interment for Betty Gaffney will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with a public memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the First Baptist Church West Rogers Campus with Rev. Kelly Chronister and Rev. Heath Tucker, officiating.

Betty Ann Gaffney, age 77, of Skiatook, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the North County Senior Living in Collinsville.

Betty was born November 28, 1939 in West Plains, Missouri to Harold O. Walstad and Olga (Munch) Walstad Morse. Betty grew up and received her education in Tulsa. Betty married Joe Lee Gaffney on September 3, 1955 in Claremore and they made their home in Tulsa and Skiatook. Betty was a homemaker, caregiver and mother. Betty liked gardening, painting, sewing, cooking shopping and flower arranging.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father and husband Joe.

Betty is survived by her four children: Terry Lee Gaffney, Michael Joe Gaffney, Meshell Ann McCuen and Sheri Denise Gaffney, one brother: Robert “Bob” Walstad, nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Honorary casket escorts for the services will be: Mike Lingo, Terry Staires, Gary Yarbrough, Gary Butler, Dennis Harrison and Brian Myers.


The family of Betty Gaffney entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
