Barbara Sue Tandy

Funeral services for Barbara Sue Tandy will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Osage Gardens Cemetery with Chaplain Tommy Kline, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Barbara Sue Tandy, age 74, of Skiatook, died at 7:40 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at her Skiatook residence.

Barbara was born January 9, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas to Ollie and Margaret (Brady) Cox. Barbara grew up and received her education in Tulsa graduating from Central High School. Barbara married Eddie J. Tandy on January 28, 1960 in Miami, Oklahoma and made their home in Tulsa until moving to Skiatook in 2013 to be close to her daughter. Barbara was a caregiver at a daycare center and worked for Ralph J. Moore and Company doing restoration work. Barbara liked playing Bingo, Crocheting and playing poker. Barbara was a member of the Charity Baptist Church in Tulsa.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Margarett  and step-father Ralph “Red” Freeman, one sister, one grandson; Triston Buttrey.

Barbara is survived by her husband; Eddie J. Tandy of the home, Brenda Kay Hulvey of Tulsa and Pamela Ann Buttrey of Skiatook, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services is; Spirit In The Sky, The Rose, One Day At A Time and Go Rest High On That Mountain.

Casket escorts are; Richard Hulvey, Troy Buttrey, Richard Lee Hulvey, Jason Wayne Smith, Robert Walker and Chris Davis.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home,
