Barbara Dean Miles

Barbara Dean Miles, age 79, of Skiatook, died at 11:40 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Skiatook Nursing Home.

Barbara was born January 25, 1934 in Dexter, Missouri to Noah Wesley and Mable Ruth (Metcalf) Hutchcraft. She grew up and received her education in Dexter, Missouri. Barbara married Thomas Edward Miles Sr. on June 3, 1955 in Tulsa County and made their home in Tulsa since that time. Barbara was a homemaker of the home. Barbara liked to cook and read. Barbara was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Thomas, two sons; Thomas Edward Miles Jr., Ronald Gene Miles, great grandson; Dawson Randall Tibbles and one sister; Peggy Ann Hutchcraft.

Barbara is survived by her daughters; Barbara Sue Westover of Skiatook and Mischell Lynn Miles of Owasso, sister; Betty Sue Baker of Tulsa, two brothers; Billy Gene Hutchcraft and Ronald Wesley Hutchcraft, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cremation services are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
