Barbara Elaine (McBride) Collins

Barbara Elaine (McBride) Collins, age 73 of Skiatook, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, June 17, 2024, at her residence.

Barbara was born July 20, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Cecil and Wilma (Pumphrey) McBride. She grew up and received her education in Skiatook. On July 18, 1989, Barbara married Larry Joe Collins in Bentonville, Arkansas and they made their home in Skiatook since that time. Twenty-five years later they renewed their vows in Texas. She was employed as an EMT with Drumright Hospital Ambulance Service, she was a police officer in the police academy in Bentonville, she was a police dispatcher in Skiatook, and she worked at Turley Bank for Twenty years before retiring. Barbara was a member of Community Lighthouse Church. She enjoyed crocheting, watching sprint car races, and she loved spending time with her dogs, her grandkids and hanging out with Larry.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents: Cecil and Wilma, brother: David McBride, and two sisters: Janet McBride and Sharon McBride.

Barbara is survived by her husband: Larry, children: Charles Miller, Tina Cash, Judy Flores, Monty Miller, Mary Shelton, Crystal Martinson, Lloyd Collins, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Barbara Collins entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
