Skiatook

Andrew Shay Havens, known affectionately as Drew to his family and friends, went to be with God December 6, 2024, at the age of 19.

Born on July 20, 2005, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Asher Sherwood Havens III and Noel Nichole (McManamon) Havens. Drew’s life was a vibrant journey that shined in the community. Drew’s early years were marked by his infectious energy and his love for the great outdoors. His passion for life was evident in his enthusiasm for the family hunting, and fishing trips, where he often outshined the rest with his natural skills. Andrew was saved, and a God fearing, loving individual. The thrill of riding motorcycles and dirt bikes was a joy that Drew carried with him throughout his life, always eager for the next adventure. A true sportsman, Drew dedicated himself to various sports, proudly representing the Skiatook Bulldogs in wrestling, football, baseball, and soccer. His competitive spirit and sportsmanship were admired by his teammates and coaches alike. Off the field, Drew’s commitment continued as he graduated from Skiatook High School in spring of 2024, a testament to his determination and hard work and faith in his Lord and Savior. After graduation, Drew joined the family business, Help Plumbing, where he quickly became an integral part of the community. His natural aptitude and willingness to learn was evident to all who worked with him, and his presence in the business will be deeply missed.

Drew’s light impacted a lot of people. Drew is survived by his loving parents, Asher and Noel Havens. His three sisters, Sierra Shannon, Alourah Sophie (Havens) O’Connor (ASH), and Cheyenne Shannon, and his two brothers, Asher Sherwood Havens IV (ASH) and Adrian Silace Havens (ASH), will forever cherish memories of their beloved brother. He was a cherished grandson to Asher Sherwood Havens II and Diana, as well as Dawn Donnelly and Lynn McManamon. Drew’s passing is mourned by aunts and uncles; Jolene Havens and Megan Rogers, Brennan McManamon, Shane McManamon, cousins- Mike Johnson, Jordan Whinery, Chucho Gutierrez, Hannah and Mackenzie Burch, Jack and Frankie Wolfe, Tori and Korban Rogers, and Chance McManamon, and numerous relatives and a community of friends who were touched by his kind spirit and generous heart.

Those who knew Drew understood that his life was not just about the moments spent on the field or the thrill of a bike ride; it was about the laughter, and the camaraderie, and the shared experiences that truly defined him. His ability to light up a room with his smile and to offer a helping hand without hesitation will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The Havens family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the community for their support and continued prayers during the most difficult time. Drew’s life was full of moments that will be treasured by those who loved him. His legacy will continue to inspire us to embrace life with the same passion and joy that he did every day. Andrew Shay Havens lived a life marked by love, friendship, and a zest for life that will continue to echo in the hearts of those who he cherished. As we say goodbye to Drew’s flesh, we hold close the memories that bring smiles through tears and comfort in the knowledge that his spirit will always be a guiding light in our lives. His final resting place will be amongst the Havens compound in the rolling hills of Skiatook, Oklahoma, where the echoes of his laughter and the memories of his presence will be carried on in the breeze for eternity. Drew may have left this world too soon, but the impression he made will be everlasting. Andrew Shay Havens’s light will shine forever.
