Alma Elizabeth Palmer
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Sacred heart Catholic Church with Father Ken, presiding. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Alma E. Palmer, age 90, of Skiatook, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in Claremore.
Alma was born October 13, 1926 in Hoopeston, Illinois to William Otis and Mallie Opal (Johnson) Mahan. Alma grew up and received her education in Pontiac, Michigan. Alma married Harry Leroy Palmer on September 13, 1945 in Pontiac Michigan making their home in Pontiac, Sperry and Skiatook. Alma was a homemaker. Alma liked painting oil paintings, sewing, cooking and was very crafty and artistic. Alma was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Alter Society.
Alma was preceded in death by her mother and father and by two sisters.
Alma is survived by her four daughters: Retha Palmer, Gayle Kline, Karen Riley, Cindy McPeak and husband Dave, one son: Steven Palmer and wife Glenda, six grandchildren: Steven Palmer Jr., Marc Johnson, Jesse McPeak, Erin Smith, Jamie Choate and Joe Wofford, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be: “Ave Maria”, “On Eagles Wings” and “Let There Be Peace On Earth”.
