Funeral services for Allen Lee Self will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26 , 2014 At the Fountain Of Life Church with Brent Crawford, officiating. Private family interment will follow.
Allen Lee Self, age 47, of Skiatook, died at 9:20 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at his new residence in Tulsa.
Allen was born December 13, 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bobby Dean and Mary Ann (Boatright) Self. Allen grew up and received his education in Tulsa graduating in 1986. Allen had also attended Tulsa Jr. College. Allen entered into the United States Navy in 1987 and received his honorable discharge that same year. Allen married Kelli Dawn Tyson May 14, 2005 in Tulsa and made their home in Skiatook. Allen was employed with American Cold Storage in 2011 where he loads and unloads trucks. Allen had also been employed with Tony’s Pizza where he loaded and unloaded trucks for seven years. Allen liked going to the casino’s and loved to fish and hunt.
Allen was preceded in death by his father; Bobby Dean Self and by one son Donald Wayne Self,
Allen is survived by his wife Kelli of the home, one son; Derrick Lee Murphy of Centrahoma, step-children; Krystin Marie Cravens of Tulsa, Loree Faye Tyson of the home, D.J. Cravens of Tulsa, mother Mary Ann Gower of Sand Springs, two grandsons; Bentley Aaron Scott Hamblin of Tulsa and Brenton Mason Scott Cravens of Tulsa, one sister; Anita Price of Sand Springs, two brothers; Bobby Self of Tulsa and Luther Gene Gower of Sand Springs and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the service: “Jesus Take The Wheel”, “I Cross My Heart”, “If Tomorrow Never Comes” and “Threaten Me With Heaven”
